Sr. Systems Analyst - EPIC

Develop Epic application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow with individual tasks and transactions.
Identify system or application needs; analysis of current business practices, user needs and work flow processes; document the current business processes; perform vendor analysis and make recommendations; investigate alternative solutions. Facilitate and support system installation through the implementation cycle. Perform configuration analysis for system design; facilitate design analysis with users to determine configuration; specify the design decisions for developers and database analysts; identify and document the data sources, recipients and interfaces that need to be developed to support data collection and maintenance; assist with the design of user procedures. Analyze system problems and modifications. Coordinate implementation and upgrades of systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of current business practices and computing systems, interfaces and hospital and medical group practice standard software required. Must be familiar with various operating systems used by hospital and medical group practice, data processing techniques and practices. Knowledge of a variety of hardware and software environments and of the healthcare industry and Epic healthcare applications required. Project management and planning, observe process mapping, group presentation, leadership, team building, written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills, ability to analyze the functionality of systems and their fit with specifications and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or other related field with seven (7) years experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation and support. Four (4) years of related work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's. Epic certification preferred.
