Position Summary

PURPOSE:
To co-lead and be responsible for Human Resources Technology Projects that are complex, multi-disciplinary and/or Enterprise-wide. Liaison with Project Managers in Information Systems to ensure deliverables are well documented, on time, on budget and meet the success criteria defined in project charters.

Knowledge
Specific knowledge of PeopleSoft v8.x HRMS data architecture and integration with other modules (payroll, finance, etc.). Required for satisfactory performance in this job is advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, current business practices and computing systems, interfaces, and Hospital standard software. Familiarity with various operating systems used by Hospital data processing techniques and practices, and an understanding of a variety of hardware and software environments and knowledge of the healthcare industry is also preferred.

Skills
Required for satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to demonstrate advanced expertise in project management using standard Project methodologies, expertise in leadership, team building, demonstrated written and verbal communication to a high level, ability to give effective presentations, interpersonal skills, analytical, negotiation and organizational skills. Ability to analyze the functionality of systems and their fit with specifications, and to demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to use one or more industry standard programming languages, preferable SQL, SQR and COBOL. An extensive knowledge of desktop applications and the ability to solve problems, adapt to changing priorities, and provide a high-level of customer service

Formal Education and Experience
The formal education normally associated with satisfactory performance in this job is a Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, or other related field. A minimum of five years of experience in information systems selection, implementation and/or support, is required. Of the five years of information systems experience, minimum two years of experience managing medium to large sized projects within PeopleSoft v8.x HRMS is highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be substituted for those specified.
